Who we are
DealTrail is a business sourcing and matching platform and a sister company of Business Advisors of America, a nationwide M&A advisory and business brokerage. Real estate brokerage services are provided through eXp Commercial of California, Inc. (CA DRE #02134436). Matan Michael is the responsible licensee, CA DRE #02076692. Information we collect
Information you provide directly. When you submit acquisition criteria or a buyer need, we collect your name, email address, and the details of what you are looking for, including industry, budget, timeline, and anything you add in free text. Brokers also provide a brokerage name and license number. When you book a call, our scheduling provider collects your name, email, and selected time. If you email or call us, we keep that correspondence.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we receive standard technical data such as browser type, device, pages visited, and referring links. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies by our hosting and analytics providers.
Information about business owners. Our sourcing campaigns use business contact information drawn from public records, state filings, and licensed commercial data providers. If we have contacted your business and you would prefer not to hear from us again, email hello@dealtrail.com and we will remove you from future outreach.
How we use information
We use the information above to evaluate whether your criteria fit our program, to run sourcing campaigns and make introductions between buyers, brokers, and business owners, to schedule and hold calls, to send updates about your submission or campaigns, to improve the site, and to satisfy legal, licensing, and compliance obligations. By submitting a form you agree that we may contact you by email or phone about your inquiry.
How we share information
We share information with Business Advisors of America to operate the program, with eXp Commercial of California, Inc. where required for brokerage compliance and transaction records, with service providers that host this site, process form submissions, schedule calls, and send email on our behalf, with professional advisors, and where required by law. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. When we introduce a buyer to a business owner, we share only what is needed to make the introduction, and client identities are treated as confidential.
Retention and security
We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes above, then for as long as licensing, tax, and legal requirements oblige us to keep records. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it, and you will not be treated differently for exercising these rights. To make a request, email hello@dealtrail.com with the subject line Privacy Request. We will verify your identity before responding.
